Your appointments are very important to the Corpus Christi Institute of Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery, and they are reserved especially for you. We understand sometimes schedule adjustments are necessary; therefore, we respectfully request at least 48 hours notice for cancellations.

Any cancellation/ reschedule made less than 48 hours in advance will results in a charge of $55.00

It’s always: “I want glowing skin ✨” And

And we’re like YES.
Hydration. Texture. Barrier repair. We love this journey.

Then we say one small word.

“Sunscreen.”

And suddenly…

“Well…”
“I don’t really burn.”
“It’s in my makeup, so I don’t have to put it on again.”
“Sunscreen is toxic.”
“The sun burns my pimples off.”

We laugh 😂 in the treatment room because the sunscreen plot twist is undefeated.

But here’s the part that ISN’T funny:
Just because you don’t see damage doesn’t mean it’s not happening underneath.

☀️ “The sun clears my acne after it burns.”
It may temporarily dry a pimple, but UV increases inflammation, weakens your barrier, and leads to pigmentation and long-term scarring. That “clear” moment? It’s literally damage loading.

Burning is not the only form of UV damage. UVA rays penetrate deeper, break down collagen, and cause premature aging — even without redness.
