CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) – Dr. Vijay Bindingnavale joins Kim Passoth on 3 News First Edition to give some tips on how to maintain a healthy weight during the holiday season.

Making sure you do not vary from your regular eating routine is key to keeping a healthy weight during the holidays, says Dr. Vijay. He also mentions that while most Americans only gain about one pound during Christmas time, they normally do not lose that weight, and therefore continue to gain a pound each year.

Dr. Vijay says it is important to keep in mind that we no longer have our diet restricted by seasons. Traditionally, the holidays were a time of year when foods that were not normally seen year-round could be found. However, today we are able to see holiday foods throughout the entire year.
